Frets on a violin or cello is a concept that has been around for years, and I am not the first to be interested in its evolution and the current popularity of Fretted Fiddles.

But I believe I AM the first to create an effective CAPO for the fiddler. The "Purists" will scoff at the thought, just as they did when the first GUITAR CAPO was introduced in the 1950s, and was followed quickly by the mandolin and banjo CAPO.

I always believed a VIOLIN CAPO was possible but a lot more "Tricky" to perfect.

A VIOLIN CAPO has to WORK and needs to be small and DISCREET. In 2015 I designed and produced a VIOLIN CAPO which I have tested with local fiddlers here in Nova Scotia. Results are very positive.
